Tasting Notes:

On the nose the wine exudes plum, cherry, and chocolate. It is silky on the attack with a nice mix of fresh dark fruit and light herbal notes. This wine is a nicely focused wine with a juicy mouthfeel and an uplifting finish.

Vineyard Info:

This Pinot Noir is made from two vineyards from Green Valley of Russian River Valley using clones 114 and 115. Four barrels make up from Sebastopol and two barrels from Occidental. Both sites are cool climate growing regions for Pinot Noir with Goldridge sandy loam soil.

Winemaking:

2022 was a hot vintage so some yeast was used for fermentation, along with an enzyme to help with mouthfeel. The tanks were fermented with 30% whole cluster then aged in 60% New French Oak. It was aged in three different style of barrels for ten months. It is unfiltered and unfined.
